RESTAURANT PHONE ORDERING SYSTEM

Take the phone order without leaving the floor.

Fork Time is a restaurant phone ordering system connected to the same AI front of house that answers guest questions and manages reservations. It uses the menu and ordering rules approved by the restaurant, confirms items and modifiers with the caller, and sends supported orders through verified CloudWaitress or Square workflows on the $299 plan.

FROM CALL TO ORDER

A phone order contains more than item names. The guest changes sizes, removes ingredients, adds dietary notes, asks when collection will be ready and sometimes changes the order halfway through the call.

Fork Time keeps that context through the conversation. It repeats the order for confirmation, keeps modifiers attached to the correct item and collects the guest details required by the supported ordering workflow. Requests outside the configured menu or rules are handed to staff rather than improvised.

SUPPORTED POS WORKFLOWS

Phone ordering is available through supported CloudWaitress and Square configurations. Before activation, Fork Time verifies the restaurant's products, permissions and the information that should move into the ordering workflow.

The integration is deliberately described as a supported workflow rather than a universal POS connection. If a restaurant uses another POS, Fork Time can still manage reservations, guest conversations, deposits, waitlists and walk-ins, but phone ordering is not enabled until that POS is supported.

Read the current integration scope on the Fork Time integrations page.

THE GUEST AND THE ORDER STAY CONNECTED

The call and guest details remain available in the same front-of-house system. A caller can ask about availability, place a supported collection order or discuss a dietary need without staff searching across separate call logs and booking tools.

Fork Time does not replace kitchen judgement. Staff retain control over unavailable items, preparation constraints, complex allergies and requests requiring approval.

BUILT FOR THE BUSY PERIOD

The phone-ordering workflow is designed for the time when staff cannot repeatedly leave the floor. Concurrent guest calls can be handled without creating a call queue for the restaurant team, while human handoff remains available for requests that need a person.

PRICING

Phone ordering is included on the $299 USD Front of House + Orders plan, per restaurant location. Standard POS, payment, telecommunications, integration and applicable tax charges may still apply. Fork Time does not add per-cover fees to reservations.
