FOR SMALL RESTAURANT GROUPS
Built for the two to five sites nobody builds for.
Fork Time is built for small restaurant groups of roughly two to five sites: venues with group problems and independent resources. Each location runs its own availability, floor plan, booking rules and deposit thresholds, while approved knowledge and conversation standards stay consistent across sites. Guest records are held per venue, so each restaurant owns its relationships. Setup is per location and takes roughly half an hour, with no implementation project and no configuration consultant. Pricing is $99 to $299 per location per month with no per-cover fees and no contract, so the cost scales with sites rather than with covers. Groups of ten or more sites running events, ticketing and centralised marketing are better served by an enterprise platform, and we will say so before you buy.
THE ABANDONED MIDDLE
Enterprise reservation platforms are priced and configured for twenty sites and an operations manager. Independent tools assume one site and one owner.
The operator with three restaurants sits between them, with group problems and independent resources. They need consistency across venues, visibility without micromanaging, and shared standards. They do not have an operations manager, an implementation budget, or two to four weeks to spend on onboarding.
Nobody builds for that shape. So these operators buy enterprise software they cannot staff, or they run three single-site tools that do not talk to each other, and neither works.
WHAT CONSISTENCY LOOKS LIKE WITHOUT CENTRALISATION
Each venue keeps its own floor, its own availability, its own booking rules and its own deposit thresholds, because a bistro and a dining room should not be run by the same settings.
What stays consistent is the standard: the same approved-knowledge model, the same conversation quality on the phone and in messages, the same rules about when a card is requested and who can override it. A new site inherits the standard and configures the specifics.
Adding a venue takes about half an hour and costs one more subscription. There is no implementation phase, because there is nothing to implement.
WHERE WE ARE THE WRONG CHOICE
If the group runs ticketed events, sells gift cards, or depends on centralised marketing automation and segmentation across venues, Fork Time does not do those things and SevenRooms or Now Book It will serve you better. If you have ten or more sites and an operations team to run a platform, the same applies.
Fork Time suits the group whose real problem is that every venue is losing calls, enquiries and walk-ins during service, and where nobody has the spare hands to fix it site by site.
